Abstract

Exploitation of Nature Tourism Park and Nature Reserve Pananjung Pangandaran, Ciamis, West Java, aimed to collect data about activity and eating behavior of Java Javan and inventory data on the availability of feed for keanekagaman Javan Javanese (Trachypithecus auratus sondaicus, Robinson & Kloss, 1919) in area held on May 4 to 10, 2008. methodology used is the next scan and Ad Libitum (Altman, 1974). Collection of samples of feed plants young leaves, old leaves, flowers and fruit in the identification of the sample. It is also collecting data about the length of time to eat, many foods, type - type of plants and plant parts are eaten as food Javan Javanese. The result is there are 26 species of forest plants belonging to 17 tribes selected as the source of Java Javan pakannya. The main data on eating behavior and daily activities are; most of Javan Javanese for making special food source for young and old leaves is to pluck them and eat them immediately, especially for fruits and flowers almost all Java Javan taking and looking for a place or a good position to consuming part of the plant. Special to the daily activity data obtained in the form of activity that is the biggest meal between 60 to 72 times (41.6 to 50%), resting activity from 49 to 41 times (34 to 28.5%), and others - another 16 to 25 (11 , 1 - 17.4%), moving from 7 to 23 times (4.9 - 16%). It also obtained data on the Javan Javanese meal around 06.00 - 10.00 and 14:30 to 18:00 pm. Comparison of the long time to eat the young leaves of plants, old leaves, fruit flowers, respectively - are part 133.26; 287.17; 25.5; 1573, and Comparison of the large number of all plant foods 358.49; 161.13; 30, 66; 29.72.
